Big Timer shows large digits in COUNTDOWN, which counts down a duration you set, and STOPWATCH, which counts elapsed time. It provides a mode switch, play/pause, reset, a duration picker and color themes.

The current display uses whole seconds: minutes:seconds below an hour and hours:minutes:seconds at an hour or more. There is no fractional display or lap list. Digit size, measurement accuracy and readability at a particular distance are separate considerations.

Set Countdown and start

  1. Check the COUNTDOWN indicator. The upper switch changes between Countdown and Stopwatch.
  2. Press the clock-shaped duration button to open Set Timer.
  3. Choose Minutes and Seconds with the wheels. Without saved values, the app prepares five minutes; the dialog opens with the last duration you entered.
  4. Apply with Set or close with Cancel. The value must be greater than zero. Minutes range from 0–720 and seconds from 0–59, for a maximum combination of 720 minutes 59 seconds (12:00:59).
  5. Press the central play triangle. It becomes a pause icon while running. Enable any completion alerts in Timer Settings before starting.

Pause before changing the duration, then check the display. Applying Set while running can retain the active timer in the current implementation. Keep any result before resetting or switching modes. The current Stopwatch screen has no lap comparison or record export.

Countdown processes completion on the update after displaying zero, then returns to the same target shortly afterward, ready to start again. Check device behavior before relying on it as an exact-time warning or a scheduled alarm after the app closes.

Choose sound, vibration and screen retention

The bell opens Timer Settings. Sound Alert and Vibration currently default to off. Enable the switches you need and close with Done. Check the actual switches in the dialog rather than relying only on the bell icon.

Always On Display defaults to on and requests an awake screen. Current setup can request it as soon as this screen opens; pausing does not itself release that request. Turning the setting off requests release, as does disposal of the screen. Check actual screen retention, audio and vibration on your device and operating system.

Portrait, landscape and eight themes

Landscape separates the digits and controls; portrait places mode and theme above the digits with timing controls below. Source adjusts digit size, but this does not guarantee readability on every phone or tablet.

Press the upper theme name to choose Focus, Workout, Cooking, Presentation, Meditation, Deadline, Break or General. The current screen's confirmed workflow is manual color-theme selection. These names do not establish improved concentration, fitness or meditation results, or guaranteed automatic switching after a time entry.

Saved settings and timing limits

Target duration, last duration entry, mode, theme, sound, vibration and screen retention use local storage. This is not a record of remaining countdown progress or a stopwatch session. Reopening the screen prepares the Countdown target or a zero Stopwatch. Check real storage and app restart behavior on your installed version.

Current source changes the value by one second per periodic callback. As the Dart Timer.periodic documentation explains, callback intervals can vary. Separate the display unit from measurement and alert error. For session or lap features, compare the Millisecond Timer & Stopwatch guide.

Download, advertising and support

Use the common download section below for Google Play or the App Store. The public Apple version is 1.0.3. Current source includes an advertising loading flow and the store discloses advertising, so this guide does not describe the app as ad-free. Basic timing and settings are processed on the device; complete offline operation of every advertising and startup flow has not been verified.

This guide compares current source with public information. For a different result, contact support with the device, operating system, app version, mode, target duration and reproduction steps. See the privacy policy and current store disclosures for advertising and privacy details.
