Choose the calculator mode according to which amount you already know. These are concentrate-to-water arithmetic examples, not product recipes.

Known water amount: 10L, 1:500

  1. Choose Calculate by amount of material or water.
  2. Enter concentrate 1, water 500.
  3. Enter 10L or 10000 mL in the water field.
  4. Concentrate is 20 mL; total is 10020 mL.
1:500 calculation from 10000 mL water
Original screen: 10000 mL water gives 20 mL concentrate and 10020 mL total.

Known total: 2L, 1:2000

Choose Calculate by total amount, enter concentrate 1, water 2000, total 2000 mL.

  • Concentrate: 2000 ÷ 2001 ≈ 0.9995 mL
  • Water: 2000 × 2000 ÷ 2001 ≈ 1999.0005 mL

The two-decimal display 1.00 mL / 1999.00 mL is rounded. Measuring exactly those quantities gives concentrate:water 1:1999, not exactly 1:2000.

Rounded results for 2000 mL total at 1:2000
The displayed 1.00 mL and 1999.00 mL are rounded; the concentrate is approximately 0.9995 mL.

Known concentrate: 100 mL, 1:50

Use the material/water mode, enter concentrate 1, water 50, and 100 mL concentrate. Water is 5000 mL and total is 5100 mL. This differs from limiting the whole mixture to 5L.

1:50 calculation from 100 mL concentrate
Original screen: 100 mL concentrate gives 5000 mL water and 5100 mL total.
